How we print — DTF for garments, Eco Solvent for stickers, multi-method for promo

TL;DR

For garments we use state-of-the-art DTF printing. For stickers we use Eco Solvent printing on Greenguard Gold certified material. For promo items we use pad printing, screen printing, UV printing and more — matched to the product.

Garments — state-of-the-art DTF printing

For garments, we print using DTF (direct-to-film) on industrial-grade equipment with the highest-grade inks and films available.

DTF prints your design onto a clear film with precision-calibrated ink, then heat-presses it onto the garment with controlled temperature and pressure. The result is a vivid, full-colour print that's micro-precision sharp — every line, every gradient, every fine detail of your design comes through cleanly.

The print doesn't sit stiffly on top of the fabric like a sticker. It bonds with the fibres and moves naturally with the garment. Stretch a tee with a DTF print across the chest and the print stretches with it, no cracking. That's the difference high-grade films make — retail-level quality, not screen-print-shop quality.

Our DTF prints are rated for 75+ washes. In practice most prints look great well beyond that if you care for them properly (wash inside-out, no high-heat ironing directly on the print, no bleach).

DTF works on every fabric we print on: cotton, polyester, blends, hi-vis, hoodies, caps, bags, kids' wear, performance fabric. Light or dark, doesn't matter — the white underbase is built into every print so colours stay vivid on black hoodies and bright tees alike.

We also offer DTG (direct-to-garment) for specific cotton-rich jobs where photo-real detail on light fabric is the priority. DTG inks soak directly into the fibres — the print becomes part of the shirt with zero surface feel. We default to DTF for everything else because it's more durable, more flexible, and works on the full garment range.

We do NOT do screen printing on garments. Some printers offer it; we don't. DTF gives the same result with no setup cost, no per-colour screen build, and the same quality.

We also do NOT do embroidery, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), or sublimation onto fabric. Direct print only, full stop. If you need an embroidered logo on a polo, you'll need to go to an embroiderer.

Stickers — Eco Solvent printing on Greenguard Gold material

For stickers, we print using Eco Solvent printers on Greenguard Gold certified vinyl.

Greenguard Gold is a chemical-emissions standard — the certification means the printed material releases extremely low VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and is safe in environments where indoor air quality matters: schools, healthcare facilities, childcare centres, food service. Most generic vinyl stickers don't meet this standard.

Eco Solvent ink is durable outdoors, weather-resistant for several years in direct sun, and produces vibrant colour reproduction. It's the right ink chemistry for sticker work — different needs to garment ink, so different equipment.

Stickers ship with a removable backing and the design pre-cut to shape (kiss-cut or die-cut depending on the product).

Promo items — method matched to product

Promo products cover everything that isn't a garment or a sticker: mugs, water bottles, drink bottles, pens, keychains, lanyards, caps, tote bags, bags, USB drives, power banks, and the wider range we list on the site.

These are too varied for a single print method — different surfaces, different shapes, different ink requirements. So we use the right method per product:

  • Pad printing — for curved or irregular surfaces like pen barrels, lighters, and small promo items. A silicone pad picks up ink from an etched plate and transfers it to the object.
  • Screen printing — for high-volume single-colour runs on flat surfaces like tote bags, drinkware, and some promo bags. Cost-effective at higher quantities.
  • UV printing — for high-detail full-colour work on flat or slightly curved surfaces. Ink is cured under UV light the moment it's printed, so it bonds to almost any material including metal, glass, plastic and acrylic.
  • Laser engraving — for premium products like metal water bottles, leather notebooks, and timber items. Precise, permanent, no ink involved.
  • Sublimation — on specific polyester-coated promo items like mugs and some drink bottles. Different to garment sublimation (which we don't do).

The exact method gets matched to the product when you order. Most promo items show the method on the product page.

The common thread across every method we use: industrial-grade equipment, properly calibrated inks, controlled production environment, and trained operators. We don't run hobbyist gear.

Every order — garment, sticker or promo — comes with a digital mockup for approval before we print. You see exactly what we'll produce, and printing starts only after you approve.

Quick answers

Quick answers

Why don't you offer screen printing on garments?

DTF gives the same or better result with no setup cost. Screen printing has a high per-colour setup (we'd have to build a physical screen for every colour in your design), which only made sense at very high volume. Modern DTF makes that obsolete for everyday garment work, so we run DTF instead. Screen printing is still in our toolkit for some promo items where it's the right process.

How long do DTF prints actually last?

Our DTF prints are rated for 75+ washes. In practice most prints look great well beyond that when cared for properly — wash inside-out on cold or warm, no bleach, no fabric softener at high concentration, no direct hot ironing on the print. Tumble dry low or line dry preferred.

Are the sticker materials safe for childcare or schools?

Yes. Our sticker stock is Greenguard Gold certified, which is the chemical-emissions standard most schools and healthcare facilities require. Lower VOC emissions than standard vinyl.

Can you print on something I have that isn't listed?

Get in touch with photos and dimensions of what you want printed. If it fits one of our methods we'll quote. If it doesn't (uneven curves, exotic materials, very small batches of an unusual item), we'll be upfront about it.
