How bulk discounts work (full pricing tiers)
Bulk discounts apply to the total quantity of a single style code — including mixed sizes, mixed colours, and even different prints across the order. Order 50 tees with 50 different names on the back and still get the 50-unit price.
How the discount applies
Bulk discounts at Printibly are automatic. The discount is based on the total quantity of a single style code in your cart. As the quantity climbs, the per-garment print price drops.
Single-side prints start at $11.95 per garment. Front and back prints start at $17.95 per garment.
The key thing to understand: the discount is on style code total, not artwork. That's a real difference from most printers, and it matters for the way most bulk orders actually work.
Single side vs front and back
A single-side print is one location — front, back, or sleeve. The price for that location is $11.95 per garment at standard quantity.
A front + back print is two print locations on the same garment. Price for both is $17.95 per garment. Cheaper than printing two single-sided garments, because we set up the job once.
If you need a left chest print plus a large back print, that's a front + back order. The "front" location includes chest prints, full-front prints, or anywhere on the front of the garment.
Where the discount cuts in
The discount tiers kick in at common quantity breaks — typically around the 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 mark. The exact discount at each tier shows on the product page and in your cart as you add quantity.
For very large orders the per-garment price keeps dropping into the higher tiers. For 250+ identical garments, get in touch directly and we'll quote — there's often room to sharpen the price further on jobs at that scale.
What combines into one bulk-discount total
Anything on the same style code combines into one quantity total. That means:
- Mixed sizes — 20 S + 20 M + 20 L = 60 toward the tier
- Mixed colours — Black + Navy + White all combine
- Different artwork on each garment — every garment can have a unique name, number, or design and still count toward the same style code tier
This is the rule for school leavers, sports teams, corporate uniforms, and any order where every garment has variation. Many printers force a single design for the bulk price — we don't.
What doesn't combine
Different style codes count separately. If you're printing one logo on 50 AS Colour Staple Tees AND 50 AS Colour Mens Stencil Hoodies, those are two different style codes. Each one tiers on its own — not 100 at the combined tier.
A custom quote can sometimes bridge that for very large multi-style orders. For orders over 250 garments across mixed styles, send us the brief and we'll quote directly.
Front and back prints
The same style-code rule applies. 50 tees with single-side prints all tier on the 50-unit single-side rate. 50 tees with front+back prints all tier on the 50-unit double-side rate. You can mix single-side and double-side within the same style code — each side counts in its respective bucket.
When to ask for a custom quote
For orders over 250 garments, especially mixed styles or repeat runs, send us the details and we'll quote directly. There's room to sharpen pricing on larger jobs and on repeat business.
Repeat orders of the same artwork (same artwork file, no changes) skip the proof step on round two onwards, which saves time on the turnaround.
The Price Beat Guarantee
If you've got a written quote from another Australian printer for the same garments, same artwork, same print method, send it through and we'll do our best to beat it on bulk orders. The discount is at our discretion, judged case by case — see the Price Beat Guarantee article for the details.
