How does Lightning Lane rush printing work?
Lightning Lane is our same-day rush service. Order by 12pm Adelaide time on a select garment, pay $10 extra per piece, and your order dispatches the same day.
What Lightning Lane is
Lightning Lane is rush printing for orders that need to leave the same day. It costs $10 per garment on top of standard pricing, and it has a hard cutoff of 12pm Adelaide time.
Note that's Adelaide time — Central time, not Eastern. If you're in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane during daylight saving, that means 12:30pm your time. Outside daylight saving, the gap is different again. Check the clock before you place the order.
Orders placed and approved before the cutoff print and dispatch the same business day. Miss the cutoff and the order rolls to the next business day for dispatch.
What you can rush
Lightning Lane is available on select AS Colour and Supply garments only. The main ones:
- AS Colour Staple Tee (5001)
- Supply Hoodie (5101)
- Plus a small range of other AS Colour and Supply core items
These are the garments we keep on hand in standard sizes and colours, ready to print immediately. Anything outside that list goes through our standard turnaround — typically a proof in 24 hours, then 2 to 3 business days to print after you approve the proof.
If you select a garment that doesn't qualify, you won't see the Lightning Lane option at checkout.
How to use it
Add a Lightning Lane-eligible garment to your cart and design your print as normal. Either upload your artwork or build the design in the in-browser Design Studio. At checkout, the rush option appears as an add-on.
You'll need to approve the digital proof quickly — there's no point rushing the print if the proof sits in your inbox unread for two hours. We send proofs fast for Lightning Lane orders, but the clock keeps ticking until you click approve.
Once approved before noon, the garment prints, packs and dispatches the same day.
When Lightning Lane isn't the right choice
Lightning Lane works for one or two garments you need urgently. For larger runs — say 30 hoodies for an event next week — standard turnaround almost always lands in time, and you save the $10 per piece.
Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 business days to print, after you approve the proof. If your event is more than a week away, you're already on standard timing.
